Madison College's new barber program opens doors to in-demand careers

The new fast-track barbering program starts Aug. 31, 2026, creating an accessible, affordable pathway for students to enter an in-demand industry.

Marisela Harkins discovered Madison College when a recruiter encouraged her to pursue higher education. She earned her GED, completed ESL classes and graduated with a degree and now supports ESL students—providing guidance, encouragement and confidence to help adult learners succeed.
